What have we been up to lately? We have been hit!! Eric and I were able to get away for night on Easter weekend and the kids stayed at my parents. I should have never said it but I did. As we were driving I commented on what a great winter we had. We really had no sick kids besides Emma throwing up after eating one of my birth control pills (you can read about that in an earlier post). We had a wonderful time and little did we know that it would be really treasured because of the days to come. Alexa started running a temp on Friday and on our way home on Sunday Emma threw up. Needless to say the week ended up to be quite long!
Shane and Emma started running fevers on Monday so all 3 kids have been sick ever since. Alexa is going on day 12 of a fever and nasty respiratory stuff. Shane and Emma had an 8 day fever along with the respiratory stuff. Shane and Emma were fever free today so we were jumping up and down. We are praying Alexa will join them tomorrow and that life will be back to normal really soon.

We have spent our days cuddling on the couch, watching movies, fixing puzzles when they felt like it, playing some low key games and taking long naps. The only outing of the week last week was to the doctor. Eric chased me out of the house quite a bit this weekend so I did feel refreshed and ready to take on the sick little ones again this week.
The highlight of the kids morning was taking bubble bathes. Since we had no time limits they loved taking really long bathes all by themselves. They are used to taking them all together to save time. We had all the time in the world this week so there were days they had 2 bubble bathes. Don't you just love Shane's rosy fever cheeks? I don't think they even remember what clothes are. They would take a bath and jump right into new pj's.
We now have stock in ibuprofen! We have gone through 4 bottles to date, 2 bottles of Tylenol and 2 bottles of cough medicine. I wish I would have taken a picture of the medicine line-up. They would line up and we'd go right down the line.
To top off the week we had quite a bit of snow. Isn't spring ever going to get here?
