Alexa had a pumpkin day at school a couple weeks ago. I love being able to go in and help in her classroom. We started the morning with pumpkin pancakes for breakfast.
The kids moved around to different pumpkin stations. I helped at the Math and Science station above. The kids did some measuring, weighing and predicting.
They also did some coloring, story and craft centers.
We finished off the day with carving pumpkins with our groups of kids. The kids had fun digging out all the goo and counting seeds. I wish I would have gotten a picture of our finished product. When we carved it and were taking the mouth out the two front teeth came out. We decided that it was fitting because it looked like a lot of the 1st graders with missing teeth.
Shane had Pumpkin Patch Day last week instead of doing something for Halloween. The kids all were to wear their pj's instead of costumes.
They did pumpkin games and this was a little dance time to get out the wiggles before story time.
Shane loves when his teacher dresses up and tells stories at preschool.
She dressed up and acted out the story "The Little Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Everything!" The kids loved the story!
We made some pumpkin for Shane to give his friends on Pumpkin Patch Day!
