We made our annual trip downtown to visit Santa on a Saturday morning. The big kids were very excited to see how Max reacted to Santa.
Shane stepped out first and told Santa he really would like some Geo-Trax and Lego. Santa told him that he would see what he could do but wouldn't promise him anything.
The girls looked so big on Santa's lap this year. They both wished for American Girl doll stuff. I am pretty sure they have moved out of believing in Santa but nothing has been said about it this year. We don't make a huge deal out of Santa and Santa doesn't bring huge gifts to our house but a stocking full of goodies is fun no matter how old you get.
I love Emma's smile! Emma did say a couple weeks ago ... "if you don't believe, you don't receive" ... I am not sure where she heard that but am wondering if they think the filling of the stockings is over if they voice Santa isn't real. We shall see what conversations we have in the coming weeks.
Max is Mr Social so I was pretty sure he would be all over sitting on Santa's lap but when the baby before us screamed bloody murder and he stared intently at her I wasn't sure what he was thinking. Eric put him down when it was his turn and he ran right to Santa and jumped right on his lap. He didn't take his eyes off of him. It was pretty cute!
Our four little blessings with Santa.
Our trip to see Santa isn't complete without a trip to the Diner for shakes. We started this tradition a couple years ago and it is something we all look forward too! Max trying his first cherry!
Shakes at the Diner is one of our kids favorite treats!
Shane didn't mess around with the straw but dug right in!
Life is good!
