The kids always look forward to their time at the lake for the 4th of July!

The evening usually starts with POPS! I love this picture of Emma in action!
Then we move to the fire for some s'mores as we wait for the sun to go down before the fireworks can begin!

The kids had so much fun with the sparklers! Here they are lined up on the beach!
There is just something about lighting off fireworks by the lake!
Fireworks are legal in our state so Eric gets put in charge of picking out fireworks for the evening show! He is slowly learning which are the good ones! Here they are all lined up and ready!
There are some advantages of being the only boy .... no one else wants to help light fireworks!
